About Erik Rokisky

Erik Rokisky is a Los Angeles–based personal trainer and strength coach whose path into fitness began through adversity.

Growing up, Erik was deeply involved in sports and developed a passion for football. His parents instilled a strong work ethic early on—whether it was running on the beach during the coldest months or pushing wheelbarrows of concrete up the steep driveway at home. These experiences built the discipline and training mindset that would later shape his career.

At 18, while training for football, Erik suffered a serious lower back injury that resulted in a bulging disc at L4–L5. The injury forced him to step away from competitive football and rethink how the body should be trained and protected.

Instead of walking away from fitness, Erik became determined to understand how to move better, train smarter, and build strength without breaking down the body. That journey ultimately led him into the field of strength and conditioning.

Erik continually invests in education through seminars, workshops, and specialized training programs to refine his coaching methods and stay at the forefront of the industry.

In addition to coaching, Erik is also an entrepreneur in the fitness industry. He is the founder of SquatWedgiez, a fitness equipment company designed to improve squat mechanics and reduce knee and back discomfort, and the co-founder of SquatGummi, a creatine supplement brand.

Through RokiskyFitness, Erik helps clients build strength, move better, and develop sustainable training habits that support long-term health and longevity.

His philosophy is simple:

If you can move, you can train.

It doesn’t matter where you are or what equipment you have access to. As long as you have gravity, you have the ability to train.
