This blog will be short, sweet, and get right to the point. Sitting down is possibly one of the worst things in the world for you. Most people work a 9-5 job, sitting down for 8 hours and then come home, hop on the couch and watch television for another 2 hours. Our bodies were not meant to be on our ass 10 hours a day. Yes, I know it is hard with your job and yes i know you have work to get done and you have no time to go for a walk or walking is just too boring for you. Well a great way to make walking interesting or even enjoyable is to throw on a podcast or audio book. If i am bored i will just turn on one of the two and go for a stroll. Before i realize it i have already been walking for thirty minutes and i have enjoyed every second of it. It is a great way to distract you from your hectic life. In addition it allows you to enjoy yourself while getting off your ass and burning some calories.

My favorite podcasts are Rob Wolf and Joe Rogan.They are very entertaining and you are able to learn tons of information, and they are FREE. Rob Wolf's podcast is mostly an hour long about health and fitness but he is able to make it interesting and entertaining. Joe Rogan's podcast is much longer usually airing for 2-3 hours long and deals with whatever guest is on the show.  Both of these are a good alternate to your television or iphone game. Of course not everyone is into radio so i also suggest audio books. Instead of sitting down reading you can be up walking or jogging while listening to your book. Two of my favorites are War of Art by Steven Pressfield and Sex at Dawn by Chris Ryan. I highly recommend both of these books. These are just a couple ways to make walking or jogging more enjoyable.
